JACKSON (AP) — Ralph Nader, an independent candidate for president, will hold a news conference and book signing this weekend in Jackson.

He is scheduled to speak at 5:30 p.m. at Lemuria book store. A book signing is set for 6 p.m.

Nader’s campaign said he will discuss his ideas about health care, the war in Iraq, sustainable energy and “an end to corporate welfare.”

Mississippi has voted Republican in every presidential race since 1980.
