NATCHEZ – Services for Douglas Fleming, 42, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Chester Cain and the Rev. Robert Minor officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Fleming was born Oct. 20, 1965, in Adams County, the son of Willie Lewis and Clara Fleming Lewis. He was employed by the Natchez-Adams School District for over 20 years. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include five children, Sharteita White, Keisha Felton, Eligrel Cortez White, Douglas Fleming Jr., and Darnisha Fleming, all of Natchez; his mother; four sisters, Janice Rollins, Carolyn Fleming, Marilyn Fleming and Mary Fleming, all of Jackson; two brothers, Richard Fleming, of Memphis, and Cartrell Fleming of Fort Bliss, Texas; three stepsisters, Pinkie Lewis and Toni Lewis, both of D’Iberville, and Nedra Lewis of Waveland; one stepbrother, Charles Singleton of Texas; four aunts, Gladys Miller of Flint, Mich., Juanita Fleming of Natchez, Earline White of Texas and Nellie Rose Fleming of Baton Rouge; and two uncles, Albert Fleming Sr. and James Fleming Sr., both of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
