City needs to clean up its own act

OK, the city says we need more green space for new businesses like Fat Mama’s, but the city cannot even keep up with their own space.
In Memorial Park, the city has mowed down bushes, roses and confederate jasmine. Evidently they just do not care or do not want to take the effort to use an edger or weed trimmer. They have killed the goldfish in the park’s fountain in the past. Bums sleep in the park and beg tourists for money.
The city will not do anything about First Baptist Church, but yet they want to dictate when a business can open and how much green space must be used.
Hotel taxes, hamburger taxes, property taxes, car taxes and sales taxes are paid every day, yet the city doesn’t want to spend any money on city-owned property or the streets.
Soon we will need more city buses with four-wheel drive to get to the hotels due to the holes in the streets. If the city doesn’t care about its own property, how is the fellow that sells flowers on the street going to get his flowers? The bottom line is that the city maintenance department is lazy or just doesn’t want to work.
Better send someone to feed the goldfish soon.
