NATCHEZ – Visitation for Charles C. Turner, 98, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Archie C. Curtis Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
Mr. Turner was born Feb. 15, 1910, in Crenshaw, the son of Will Turner and Viola Sellers Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Juanita Davis and husband, the Rev. Joel K. Davis, both of St. Louis, Evelyn Dreyer and husband, David, both of Natchez, and Janice Blake of Denver; one son, Lee Arthur Turner of San Diego; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Lillie M. Fickinger of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
