FERRIDAY – Services for R. Tyler Ray, 15, of Fouke, Ark., who died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in Fouke, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home with Brother James Cockerham officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Tyler was born March 8, 1993, in Natchez, the son of Billy Paul Baker Jr. and Peggy Sue Halford Baker. He attended Fouke High School and was very kindhearted and loved by many.
Tyler was all boy. He loved all sports and outdoor activities with hunting and fishing being his favorites and Louisiana State University his team.
He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Christine James Ray and Etta G. Clements; grandfather, Billy Paul Baker Sr.; one nephew, Bradely Paul Baker; and two uncles, Buddy Lindsey and Julius “Cooter” Halford Sr.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Joseph James Baker and wife, Stephanie, and Lawrence Daniel Baker and wife, Stacey; four sisters, Candice Marie Nations and husband, Keith, Samantha Diane Baker, Corban Sue Smith and husband, Lane, and Spring Michele Thompson; grandparents, Lawrence M. and Audrey Ray; seven uncles, Larry Baker and wife, Marie, Tim Baker and wife, Diane, Billy Smith and wife, Nelda, Freddie Ray and wife, Darlene, Steven Leek and wife, Cindy, Todd Whitlock and wife, Mary, and Jimmy Tullos and wife, Patsy; two aunts, Ruby Manchester and husband, Von, and Georgia Wood and husband, Billy, Sissy Nations and Judy Halford; and nieces and nephews, Dakota Nations, Billie Nations, Nathan Nations, Zachary Baker, Cayden Wall Baker, T.J. Jackson, Anna Jackson, Rebbeka Baker, Brendan Baker, D.J. Baker and Haven Smith.
Pallbearers will be Larry Baker, Tim Baker, Dakota Nations, Jamie Keyes, Lane Smith, Johnathan Riddle, Sissy Nations and Samantha Baker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence M. Ray, Joseph Baker, Daniel Baker and Steven Leek.
