VIDALIA – Services for P.T. Jackson, 64, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at noon Saturday at St. Stephens Baptist Church, in Vidalia, with the Rev. Willie J. Birdon officiating.
Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born Aug. 13, 1944, in Vidalia, the son of Jessie and Susie Jackson. He attended Concord High School and was employed with Concordia Contracting until he became ill. He was a member of Tri-Stone Lodge No. 137.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jessie Jackson Jr. and James Jackson; and three sisters, Dorothy Turner, Johnnie L. Hawkins and Susie B. Jackson.
Survivors include a devoted wife, Mamie L. Jackson; one brother, Samuel Jackson and wife, Pam, both of Burlington, Vt.; three sons, Scottie Dixon Sr. and wife, Sylenthia, and Jason Jackson and wife, Julia, all of Vidalia, and Darrell Jackson Sr. and wife, Conkeithical, both of Grambling, La.; two daughters, Glenda Jackson-Clark, of Natchez, and Tanya Johnson and husband, Marlon, both of Oaklawn, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Tashayla Dudley, Ka’Niya Dudley, Jared Thompson, Zalen McGowan, Wesley Jackson, Kai’Daryia Jackson, Darrell Jackson Jr., Talamthia Dixon and Scottie Dixon Jr.; one uncle, Clint Jackson of Vidalia; one aunt, Alice Loyd of Vidalia; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be the Masonic brothers of Tri-Stone Lodge No. 137.
