NATCHEZ — Supplies from the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency are currently being ordered and stockpiled.

Adams County EMA Director Stan Owens said it has not yet been decided when those items will be handed out.

But right now, the county has Meals Ready to Eat and water ordered. Ice has not yet been ordered because Owens said that’s not a life necessity at this point.

“We hope everyone prepared,” Owens said.

He said he realizes this is a major inconvenience for everyone, but there’s no need to panic.

“We’re trying to fix the issues we’re having,” he said.
