NATCHEZ — Rolland Jay “Rollie” Wallace, age 63, died Aug. 30, 2008, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Wallace was born in San Angelo, Texas, on Nov. 27, 1944, the son of the late Wesley James “Mumpsey” Wallace and the late Jennye Louise Wallace. He was employed by Marathon Oil Company and retired in 1992. Rollie was active Elks Club member.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Eva Watts Wallace of Natchez, his daughter Jennye, his son Jackie and wife Daphney and grandchildren Will and Maggie all from Birmingham, Ala., his son Jay and future daughter-in-law Harelda Smith of Natchez; his sister Jimmie Falgout and her husband Gary of Durham, N.C., and Luke, his faithful pet.
The family would like to thank his caring aides, Connie Ellis and Leslie Brown of Natchez and Hospice Ministries for attending Rollie’s needs and care.
