NATCHEZ – Services for Lee Edward “Big Shot” Thomas, 70, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. James C. Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Thomas was born Jan. 20, 1938, the son of Dorothy Mae McQueen and John Thomas. He was formerly employed with The Blain Company.
He was preceded in death by parents; mother, Margaret Green; one sister, Mary Perryman; and two uncles, Mose Thomas and Andrew Thomas.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen Thomas and wife, Tasha, Michael Thomas and wife, Shari, and Darryl Thomas; three daughters, Gwendolyn Lee, Patricia Tenner and Demetric Thomas; two brothers, Elloit Thomas and Jonathan Thomas; three sisters, Jeanette Rucker of New Jersey, Johnnie Mae Ware, of Natchez, and Eddie Louise Jordan; and special brother, Johnny Jones of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Frisby, Virgil Gibbs, James Gibbs, Jerry Jones and Emmit Woods.
