NATCHEZ— The Dixie Bass Club of Natchez fished a rising Deer Park 16 miles south of the river bridge September 6th on a cloudy mild day with 70-85 air while the water was 78-80. Fifteen members weighed 51 bass with 9 limits and 2 zips.

Winner Glen Foster of Natchez weighed a nice 11.04 five bass limit for first on spinnerbaits-worms.

Paul Foster, age 85, of Natchez had a 10.49 limit with the 3.30 lunker on spinnerbaits for second while Terrell Foster of Natchez was 3rd with a 8.52 limit on lizards.

The rest of the Top Ten were: 4th, Allen Blanton (8.41 limit) on spinnerbaits and rattletraps; 5th, Jr. Book of Ferriday (7.74 limit) on spinnnerbaits ; 6th, Alan Brumfield (7.72 limit); 7th, Justin Foster (7.22 limit); 8th, Randy Pitre (6.93 limit); 9th, Robbie Buckles (6.05 limit) and 10th, Albert Crouch (2 for 3.73).

Others with fish included: Buster Martinez (2 for 3.63), Johnny Davis (1 for 1.99) and Doug “Team Kistler” Schexnayder of Vidalia (1 for 1.51). Also fishing were Ken Mahoney and Ray Mize.
