NATCHEZ – Surrounded by family, her father holding her hand, our daughter, Amanda Lynn McElroy McCoy, left us on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, for her heavenly home.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church, in Cranfield.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and for friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church and from noon until service time Thursday at the church.
Amanda was born Oct. 24, 1980, in Natchez. She leaves behind three precious children … daughter, Mandalynn and twins, Carolyn and Thomas Eugene; their father, Thomas Eugene McCoy; her parents, Tammy and Hiram Melton and Tommy and Angela McElroy; two brothers, T.J. and Laura McElroy and son, Tommy Carroll III and Jamie Decker; one sister, Dee Dee and Kevin and children, Waylon, Megan and Cole; other siblings still at home, Rebecca, Misty and Billy; special friends and family, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Christie, Michelle, Tracy, Jeff and Dana Webb and children, Colton and Nick; grandparents, Ruth Nations, Ollie and Billy Faulkner; great-grandmother, Mae Mae Reeves; many cousins, nieces and nephews from her extended family, Amanda loved you all; maternal uncles, Kevin Nations, Keith and special aunt, Helen Nations, James and Mary Melton, Lee and Connie Melton and Robert and Edna Melton; maternal aunts, Cathy and Gary Bowman, Pat and Bobby Wright and Geneva and Rocky Nations; paternal uncles, special uncle, Ronnie and Melissa McElroy, Henry and Rhonda McElroy, Herbert and Sheila McElroy and Earl and Cindy McElroy; paternal aunts, Annette Davis, Terry and Mario Padillo and Laura and Jock Smith; loved ones who met Amanda at Heaven’s gate … grandparents, Henry Carroll McElroy, Pearl McElroy Smith and Charlie Nations.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie McElroy, Henry McElroy, Jamie Decker, D.J. McGinty, Thomas McGinty and Josh McElroy, T.J. McElroy, Jeffrey Adams, Jason Brown, Bo Dixon Jr., Jerry Wayne Nations and Boo Gossett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adams County Sheriff’s Department and a number of other honorary pallbearers.
Fellowship will be at Cranfield Baptist Church following the service.
