Franklin County softball still undefeated in 6-3A

RAYMOND — The Franklin County Lady Bulldogs remained undefeated in Region 6-3A as they defeated the Raymond Lady Rangers 14-0 in the first game and 12-3 in the second game Thursday afternoon.

In the first game, Latoya Griffin hit a home run and went 2-for-3 and Kierra Collins hit two doubles and she also went 2-for-3 to lead Franklin County’s 12-hit attack. Winning pitcher Mildred Starks allowed just three hits in four innings.

Franklin County (13-2, 8-0) led just 3-0 after three innings of play, but an 11-run barrage in the top of the fourth inning allowed the Lady Bulldogs to 10-run rule the Lady Rangers.

The second game was close in the early innings, but the Lady Bulldogs put the game away by scoring seven runs midway through the game to take a commanding 10-3 lead.
