NATCHEZ — The man allegedly responsible for several downtown shed burglaries has been apprehended by the Natchez Police Department.

Sgt. Craig Godbold said several sheds on North Pearl Street were burglarized, and tools such as chainsaws were taken.

Kenneth Vance Morgan, 43, 714 B St., was arrested Friday evening with a fan in his possession, Godbold said.

That is the only item that has been recovered, and the origin of the fan is currently unknown.

“He said he’ll show us Monday where he got it,” Godbold said.

Morgan has been charged with three counts of burglary of a storehouse and is being held without bond.

Godbold said Morgan is no stranger to the penal system and was arrested last month for a burglary on Clifton Avenue.
