Clara Bowman

Vidalia — Services for Clara Curtis Bowman, 65, who died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at her residence, will be at noon Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Concordia Park with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Bowman was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Vidalia, the daughter of Edward Curtis Sr. and Bessie Chatman Curtis.

She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include her father; two sons, Kelvin Curtis, of Vidalia, and Anddaryl Bowman, of Carson, Calif.; three sisters, Edna Horn, of Los Angeles, Margie Turner and Mary Smith, both of Vidalia; three brothers, Thomas Curtis and wife, Shirley, Edward Curtist III and wife, Kathy, and James Curtis, all of Los Angeles; a special nephew, Cameron Carter of Farney, Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
