Gideon Montfort

Woodville — Services for Gideon Best Montfort, 91, of Woodville, who died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Woodville with the Rev. Sam Tomlinson officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Montfort was a graduate of Louisiana State University and a life long member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Woodson Wren Montfort; one brother, Woodson Wren Montfort Jr.; and one sister, Mary Francis Montfort.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Mae Falkheiner-Montfort; one daughter, Judy Montfort Trevillion and husband, Dorsey Eric; one grandchild, Mary Stewart Trevillion Habig and husband, Douglas Kendrick; and one great-grandchild, William Dorsey Habig.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Kendrick Habig, Jerry Keith Foster Jr., Joseph M. Best, Charles Henry Best, James Wyman Poole, Jack D. Withers, Jason Ryan Lees and Mark Gregory Trevillion.
