At Frazier Primary School work and play are one in the same.

If its dancing to raise money for the United Way or exercising to strengthen little bodies, it’s all the same.

On Friday — for the low cost of 50 cents — students got a chance to burn off a little energy dancing in the school’s cafeteria. They raised more than $400 for the United Way of the Greater Miss-Lou.

Monday morning, the school kicked off its “Let’s Go Walkin’ Mississippi” program with a round of jumping-jacks, running in place and other exercise routines.

Above, Maria Bradley, 6, and Terranishal Hannah, 6, perform jumping jacks at the front of the walking line Monday. At top, arms wave madly in the cafeteria during Friday’s dance-a-thon. And at bottom, feet march in line to promote healthy living.
