NATCHEZ – Services for Evandia Mary “Bonnie “Dunmore, 54, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Bishop Melvin Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at Milford Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Dunmore was born Feb. 9, 1954, in Natchez, the daughter of Annie Latham Carter and James Dunmore. She was a 1972 graduate of North Natchez High School and attended Malcolm X College in Chicago. She was a former member of Sunflower Baptist Church and was also affiliated with First Baptist Church in Vicksburg.
She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather, James Carter; and her grandparents, Emerson Latham and Mary Latham.
Survivors include three children, Corey James Dunmore of Vicksburg, Annika Dunmore and Rae Evans, both of Jackson; her mother of Natchez; one sister, Annie B. Dunbar of Natchez; three brothers, James Dunmore of Oklahoma City, Okla., Johnnie D. Dunmore of Gulfport and Novell Carter of Natchez; one niece, Latoya Dunbar of Houston, Texas; one nephew, Christopher Dunbar; one godson, Travanti Smith of Hattiesburg; and a number of other cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
