NATCHEZ — Services for Dora B. Conley, 92, who died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Temple and the Rev. James G. Benbrook officiating.
Burial will follow in the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street.
Dora B. Conley was born Sept. 20, 1916 in Natchez, the daughter of Cleve Brown and Dora O’Quin. She retired from Flint Kot Industrial and moved back to Natchez, and has lived here for 30 years. She was a member of Jefferson Street Methodist Church, Natchez Garden Club, active in the Pilgrimage and had a passion for playing bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Conley.
Survivors include one son, Bill Conley and wife, Becky, of Beaumont, Texas; two grandchildren, Jennifer Langley and Lance Cpl. Jason W. Conley; one great-grandchild, Macy Langley; one brother, Maj. Gen. Grover C. Brown of Natchez and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hobbs Freeman, Sims Brown, Tyler Brown, Justin Brown, Harry Lynn Brown and Justin Gioghegan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Maj. Gen. Grover Brown and Lance Cpl. Jason W. Conley.
