Natchez — The Pilgrim Baptist Church Missionary Society is sponsoring its fourth annual “Hooping for Jesus” Christian basketball tournament.

The tournament was developed to promote community outreach and leadership by having local churches and other social orgnization come together for one weekend to share the love of Christ. with other church families and community groups through something as simple as a game of basketball. The event promises to be spirit filled with lots of fun and excitment.

This year’s tournament will be Nov. 28 – 30 at the Martin Gymnasium. Games will begin each day at 11 a.m.

An opening ceremony will begin the events on Friday and the tournament will close on Sunday with the presentation of trophies, prizes and certificates.

Organizers are looking for sponsors for the event. Sponsor packages are:

Platinum package — $400 in donations or merchandise. This will include five free passes for the entire weekend.

Gold package — $200 in donations or merchandise. This will include three free passes for the weekend.

Silver package — $100 in donations or merchandise. This will include two free passes for the weekend.
