NATCHEZ – Services for Carol Murphy Jones, 77, of Natchez, formerly of McNair, who died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2008, in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. James Hinson officiating.
Burial will follow at McNair Cemetery, in McNair, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones was born Dec. 26, 1930, in Adams County, the daughter of John Joseph Murphy and Cecil Mallery Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.L. “Jughead” Jones; one brother, Marion Murphy; and one sister, Gilda Murphy Gilbert.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Guillory of Vidalia and Susan Dunhan of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Johnnie Ann Murphy Hinson of Vidalia.
Pallbearers will be Michael Murphy, Chris Hinson, Bubba Hinson, Tony Guillory Jr., Steven Guillory and Joey Guillory.
