Vidalia — On Nov. 14, Vidalia Lower Elementary another first, Grandparents Day.
Nearly 300 grandparents came to celebrate this day with their grandchildren. Refreshments and a special lunch were served.
Pictures were taken to commemorate the day for the participating grandparents and the book fair was attended by many. Tours were conducted by all grandchildren showing off their classrooms, while special artwork brightened up the hallways.
From 10 a.m, until 1 p.m. the campus was full of excited grandchildren with grandparents.
The large number of grandparents attending made the day a success, and everyone enjoyed the day with the students.
