NATCHEZ — God has called our beloved Aunt Mary Louise “May May” Curry, 75, who died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Adams County Nursing Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. David O’Connor and the Rev. Steve Pearson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
“May May” Curry was born Oct. 18, 1933, in Natchez, the daughter of Samuel Y. Curry and Theresa Rose “Ro Ro” Frank Curry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother, “Little Buddy”; one sister, Josephine “Jo Jo” Curry Evans; and one brother-in-law, Richard E. “Dickey” Evans.
As she protected us on earth she will now be our guardian angel in heaven. Survivors include one niece, Mary Jeanine Evans of Natchez; her life love, Bret Adams of Natchez; six great-nieces and nephews, Christie Adams Boudreaux and husband, Christopher, Mandy Adams, Michael Evans, Jessica Evans, Richard Evans and Matthew Evans; and four great-great-nieces and nephews, Brandon Boudreaux, Caitlyn Boudreaux, Cullen Boudreaux and Nicholas Adams-Eliser.
Pallbearers will be Chris Boudreaux, Gene Willard, Ken Britt, Joe Willard, Jerry White and the Rev. Steve Pearson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Boudreaux, Caitlyn Boudreaux and Cullen Boudreaux.
We, the family, wish to give special thanks to May May’s three special friends, Kecia Anderson, Peggy Nance and Charlene Stump. You three showed May May true friendship.
Rev. Steve Pearson, words can’t describe. You are a true man of God. Rev. O’Connor, thank you for your caring thoughts and prayers and everything that you have done. Vanessa, JoAnn and Rachel, thank you for all that you have done for May May and our family. Special thanks to LaToya and the other aides in her daily needs. She loved you and great gratitude to Chesney for being very attentive, caring and professional in dealing with May May and us.
