NATCHEZ — Services for Mary B. Guillory, 89, of Monroe, La., formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at her son’s home after a prolonged illness, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Brother Coleman Almond officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Guillory was born Jan. 16, 1919, the daughter of Oscar N. and Lillian Dove French. She was a resident of Kingston and a member of the U.S. 61 South Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest David Dunavant; one son, William David Dunavant; husband, Howard J. “Red” Guillory; and one stepson, Howard J. Guillory Jr.
Survivors include five children, Genelle Hall and husband, Herbert, Bobby Dunavant and wife, Jo, Kay “Tina” Dunavant, Bruce Guillory and wife, Pauline, and Wayne Guillory and wife, Charity; three stepchildren, Frances White, Jan Dunavant and Michael Guillory; one sister, Dorothy Beach; one brother, Howard French; one daughter-in-law, Thelma Dunavant; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
