JONESVILLE — Services for Randy Tarpley, 53, of Jonesville, who died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, in Terrebone Parish, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville with the Rev. Jack Knapp and the Rev. Bruce Lofton officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Mr. Tarpley was born Oct. 25, 1955, in Jonesville, the son of William Howard “Monk” and Clarice Wiley Tarpley. He was employed by Dynamic Industries as a welder and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville. He enjoyed his life, spending time with his grandsons, his family and riding his Harley.
Mr. Tarpley proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include three daughters, Stacie Tarpley and her son, Jack Mattix Foster, and Mindi Tarpley and her son, Ransom Rush Olds, all of Jonesville, and Hanna Tarpley of Fort Riley, Kan.; his mother; two sisters, Debra Book and husband, Emmett, both of Jonesville, and Jennifer Harp of Natchez; and two brothers, Dennis “Little Monk” Tarpley and wife, Gwen, both of Jonesville, and Jeffery Tarpley and wife, Robbie, both of Natchitoches, La.
Pallbearers will be Grant Tarpley, Tyler Tarpley, Josh Olds, Andy Aguilar, Tony Aguilar and Daniel Staneart.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Jack Mattix Foster, Ransom Rush Olds and Gabriel Nelson.
