CLAYTON — Graveside services for Herman Ray Sanders Jr., 55, of Alexandria, La., formerly of Clayton, who died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, in Alexandria, will be at 2 p.m. today at Calhoun Cemetery with the Rev. John Williams and the Rev. Leslie Wooten officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Mr. Sanders was born June 26, 1953, in Winnsboro, La., the son of Herman Ray Sanders Sr. and Rosalie T. Sanders. He was a resident of Alexandria for 16 years. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother of Clayton; one brother, Roger David Sanders of Lake St. John; one sister, Deborah Sanders Brown and fiancé, Wade Oliveaux, both of Ferriday; and his extended family at Bouef Trace Community Home in Alexandria.
Pallbearers will be L.E. Tyler Jr., Buddy Farrar, John Graney, Wesley McManus, Wade Oliveaux and David Eames.
Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Farrar, Hardy Farrar and the residents and staff at Bouef Trace Community Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, 910 Main St., Pineville, LA.
