JONESVILLE – Services for Scottie Coy Book, 23, of Jonesville, who died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville with the Rev. Jack Knapp, Bill Cotten and the Rev. Danny Sharp officiating.
Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery, in Manifest, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Book was born Oct. 16, 1985, the son of Coy and Rhonda Book. He was employed as a carpenter and was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a love for hunting and fishing. He also loved playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle and most of all playing with his nieces.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, T.J. Book.
Survivors include his parents, both of Jonesville; one brother, David Winborne and wife, Tanya, both of Jonesville; paternal grandmother, Elvena Book of Jonesville; maternal grandfather, David Jones and wife, Dianne, both of Greenville; maternal grandmother, Glenda Ferrington of Jena, La.; and three nieces, Briana Youngblood, Sydney and Madison Winborne.
Pallbearers will be James Lavoic, Jamie Nichols, Ken Cagle, Derek Rollins, Kenny Ray White and Damon Michot.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Lee, Tuffy Book, Aaron Pritchard, Jake Montie, Rachel Hathcock, Donnie Beard, Kevin Beard and Adam Sandell.
