MONTEREY — Services for Georgia Jones, 67, of Monterey, who died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Monterey First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Lee officiating.
Burial will follow at White Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Jones was born Dec. 15, 1941, in Pineville, La., the daughter of George and Mildred Green. She was a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Jones was also a member of Monterey First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Freddie Jo Powell; and one brother, Dixie G. Green.
Survivors include her husband, Justin Jones; two daughters, Justina King and husband, Henry, both of Monterey, and Tanee Myers and husband, Steve, both of Enterprise, La.; two sons, Steve Jones and wife, Nicole, both of Meadville, and Michael Jones of Monterey; one sister, Sadie Jones of Monterey; one brother, Gary Green of Ferriday; 10 grandchildren, Christen Wheeler, Megan Wheeler, Joseph Jones, Jordan Jones, Justin Jones, Cassie Hilt, Brandon Jones, Brice Jones, Tyler Myers and Morgan Myers; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stevie Myers, Henry King, Lance Thompson, Lorne Green, Todd Barrington and Bud Orcutt.
