WOODVILLE — Mass services for Jeremy Lee Aitken, 35, of Walker, La., who died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, in Woodville, as a result of a hunting accident, will be at noon today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Smith officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Mr. Aitken was born in New Orleans, the son of Gerard P. Aitken of New Orleans and Julie Thimmesch Morgan of Slidell, La. He was employed as a construction inspector for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Montgomery Aitken; and maternal grandfather, Wieck William Thimmesch.
Survivors include his wife, Keri Smith Aitken; two daughters, Mary Claire Aitken and Amelia Grace Aitken, both of Walker; one son, Robert Huntington Aitken of Walker; his parents; one brother, James Gabriel Aitken of St. Francisville, La.; maternal grandmother, Jeannette L. Thimmesch of Woodville; and paternal grandfather, Robert M. Aitken Jr. of New Orleans.
