GULFPORT, (AP) — A Gulfport man accused of domestic violence for throwing a brick that injured his brother is now charged with murder.
Police say 58-year-old Leslie Warren Taylor died Saturday, a day after an altercation with his brother, 47-year-old Jerry Lee Henry. Both men were allegedly arguing Friday when Henry threw a brick at Taylor at the home the two men shared.
Police say the brick hit Taylor in the head and he was taken to a Gulfport hospital where he was treated and released. Henry was arrested and charged with domestic violence, but while he was behind bars police found Taylor Saturday dead inside his home.
Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says Taylor died from the blunt-force trauma he suffered from the fight.
