JACKSON (AP) — A 31-year-old Natchez woman was killed Sunday morning in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 20 in Jackson.

Police say Julia Gooden-Jackson was traveling east on I-20 about 1 a.m. when the crash occurred. Gooden-Jackson began to turn onto the Interstate 220 overpass, but then attempted to get back onto I-20 east and was struck by an SUV pulling a utility trailer, according to witnesses.

The victim’s vehicle rolled over and was struck by an eastbound car.

Gooden-Jackson died at the scene. Police say a passenger in Gooden-Jackson’s vehicle was transported to a hospital in serious condition.
