VIDALIA — Services for Julia Marie Gooden-Jackson, 31, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Jackson, will be at noon Saturday at Stephens Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Birdon officiating.
Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jackson was born July 29, 1977, in Natchez, the daughter of Charles and Debra Coach and Charlie Tinsley. She attended Natchez High School and was employed by Magnolia House in Natchez for almost 10 years. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Jackson loved to spend time with her family and friends and shop.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Elvin Mitchell Jr.; maternal grandmother, Julia Gooden; and paternal grandfather, Louis Tinsley.
Survivors include a devoted and loving husband, Jason Jackson; two sons, Jared Thomas and Wesley Jackson, both of Vidalia; her parents; grandmothers, Betty Tinsley and Willie Mae Mitchell, both of Natchez; two sisters, LaKeshia Mitchell and Ebony Mitchell, both of Natchez; one brother, Elvin Mitchell III of Natchez; seven aunts, Joyce Risen and husband, Milton, and Wanda Myles, all of Natchez; Linda Williams and husband, Nat, Valerie Mitchell, Remona Mitchell, Eva Mitchell and Melissa Randall and husband, Joe; six uncles, Gregory Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell, Kelvin Mitchell, Michael Mitchell and wife, Janice, Carl Mitchell and wife, Lisa, and James E. Mitchell; mother-in-law, Mamie L. Jackson of Vidalia; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Clark of Vidalia and Tonya Johnson and husband, Marlon, both of Oaklawn, Ill.; two brothers-in-law, Darrell Jackson Sr., and wife, Conkeithical, both of Grambling, La., and Scottie Dixon Sr., and wife, Sylenthia, both of Vidalia; two dear friends, LaToya Hamilton of Atlanta and Keshia Glover of Natchez; a number of other brothers and sisters by her father; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Masonic brothers of Tri-Stone Lodge No. 137.
