HATTIESBURG — Services for Otis Melville “Mel” Sikes, 86, of Raymond, who died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Clinton, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
Burial will follow at Roseland Park Mausoleum under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Sikes was employed with Exxon for 42 years and worked in production field operations. He served country in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Sikes Conway.
Survivors include his wife, Oterie Sikes; one son, S.A. “Butch” Sikes of Lorman; two daughters, Susan Sikes Moody and Wanda Sikes Deaver, both of Clinton; one sister, Emily Sikes of Callahan, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
