NATCHEZ — Services for James Perry “Jimmy” Allen Jr., 59, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today at Abundant Life Church with the Rev. John Collard and the Rev. Dan Wynn officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen was born Oct. 24, 1949, in Natchez, the son of James Perry Allen Sr. and Irene Myers Allen. Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Church and recently experienced renewal in Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Bobby Allen.
Survivors include his mother of Natchez; three brothers, Mark Allen of Meridian, Bryan Allen of Grandville, Iowa, and Philip Allen of Fullerton, Calif.; and one aunt, Minnie Ann Darsey and husband, Billy, both of Fayette.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Allen, Philip Allen, Scott Ballard and members of Abundant Life Church.
