AMORY — Taylor Leigh Bowling, formerly of Natchez, has been inducted into the National Honor Society for high school students. This is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. Four ideals are considered as the basis for selection.
The National Honor Society strives to recognize the total student. The standards used for induction are:
Scholarship — Students must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
Leadership, service and character — Students must demonstrate these ideals by activities and teacher evaluations.
Members who are inducted into the National Honor Society incur a responsibility to continually demonstrate outstanding qualities that result in their being selected for this honor.
Bowling is the granddaughter of Jerry and Irma Moore of Natchez and the daugther of Angela and Jamie Bowling of Amory, formerly of Natchez. She attends Amory High School.
