Neighborhood association has luncheon

Natchez — The West Stiers Lane Neighborhood Association had its first fellowship luncheon at 2 p.m. on Jan. 31. The luncheon was at the youth center on Triumph Lane.
The program included a greeting from the association president Dorothy Sanders, a special song “We have come this far by faith” performed by Raven Johnson, youth of tomorrow presentation, a devotion and song by association Chaplin Charles Seals.
The purpose of the organization was explained by Peggy Williams, and Sanders recognized the elected officials at the meeting.
The meal included chicken, fish, pasta salad, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, green peas, walnut pie, cake, rolls and soft drinks.
There were 40 people in attendance ranging in ages from 86 to 3-years-old.
Special guests included Natchez Mayor Jake Middleton, Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins, Darlene Jones and Michele Brooks.
