DOLOROSO — Services for Chetiffney Dennis, 35, of Doloroso, who died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Baptist Church, in Doloroso, with the Rev. Robert Lee Parter officiating.
Burial will follow at church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Miss Dennis was born Jan. 12, 1974, in Centreville, the daughter of Jimmie and Ruth Dennis. She was a 1991 graduate of Wilkinson County High School and a 1996 graduate of Alcorn State University.
Miss Dennis enjoyed spending time with family, friends and spoiling everybody’s children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one sister; one brother; and one goddaughter, Raven Parker.
Survivors include one sister, Kathy Dennis of Doloroso; one brother, Jimmie Dennis Jr. of Woodville; three godsons, Deveron Dennis, Damon McMorris Jr. and Christian James, all of Doloroso; three aunts, Rosie M. Floyd of Doloroso, Bertha L. Byers of Augusta, Ark., and Rosie Schoby Douglas of Baton Rouge; four uncles, Arthur Dennis of Valinda, Calif., Prince Dennis of Baton Rouge, Henry Dennis of Sibley and Daniel Floyd of Milwaukee; one godsister, Keshia Dennis of Kenner, La.; one godbrother, John Lee Dennis of Dallas; a loving and special friend, Orlando Pep Newman; close friend to the family, Jessie Perry Sr.; and a number of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Eric Davis, Randall Williams, Warren Perkins, Willie Lee Dennis, Robert McKenzie and Freddie Lee Davis.
