NATCHEZ — A man has been arrested after allegedly chasing after five middle school girls with a pistol.
A report was filed on March 9 by the mother of one of the girls, who said Aaron Thomas, 41, homeless, reportedly pulled out a pistol and chased after the girls at Maryland Heights Apartments yelling, “all five of you are going to be dead.”
Thomas reportedly fired a few shots in the air, and then he ran off.
Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said charges were filed because Thomas is a convicted felon with mental illness.
Thomas was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
He is being detained at the city jail without bond.
