NATCHEZ — Two shootings Sunday landed two Natchez men in jail.
Both of the shootings occurred at the Susie B. West Apartments, and neither resulted in any injuries.
Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said both shootings are related.
In the first shooting, Kenneth Chapman, 18, was outside his apartment inspecting a broken window on his vehicle when Keadrain Clark, 22, drove past Chapman while allegedly shooting at him.
Godbold said officers responded to the scene but were not able to find any weapons or firearms, and no arrests were made.
Clark was told by officers to leave the complex, Godbold said.
Later in the afternoon, Clark returned and was allegedly shot at by Chapman.
One tenant in the complex reported her apartment was hit by a stray bullet during one of the shootings, Godbold said.
The matter is still under investigation.
Clark was charged with a drive-by shooting, and Chapman was charged with aggravated assault.
Both men are being held in the city jail without bond.
