Let’s find another spot for trailer

Just because everyone is doing it, doesn’t make it right.
Good moms and dad across the world utter the phrase every day, and the same message applies to the Adams County Board of Supervisors.
It seems all five board members are supportive of an idea to relocate a donated trailer to a lot a good stone’s throw from one of Mississippi’s nicest bridges.
The idea isn’t just backed by one person — four others agree as well.
The area in question is specifically designed to be aesthetically pleasing, but greater than the beauty, the lot isn’t zoned for such a building.
Placing a trailer, no matter how good you make it look, that would break city code is just a bad idea.
And though it’s nice to see unity on the board of supervisors, this isn’t exactly a vote in which the community can take pride.
Instead of reveling at the fact that five supervisors support a bad idea, board members need to put their heads together and come up with a second site for the trailer.
If the county can save money and improve the road department by utilizing the trailer, great, let’s do so.
But let’s find a new location, respect city codes and leave the Liberty Road Bridge’s beauty for all to enjoy.
Just because little Jimmy wants to jump off the bridge doesn’t mean you should too.
