Natchez — Services for Russell Huber Sr., 89, of Natchez, who died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Ensminger officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Huber was born April 2, 1920, in Wisner, La., the son of William and Rose Ensminger Huber.

He was a verteran of World War II with the Army 71st Infantry Division in France, Germany, Austria and North Africa.

Mr. Huber was a retired minister with the Assembly of God Church, having served as pastor of two churches for a number of years — one is Wisner and the other in Gloster.

Mr. Huber is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Will Huber, Ben Huber, Sam Huber, Jack Huber; and two sisters, Fannie Huber Arnold and Ida Huber.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel James Huber; three daughters, Sandra Huber, Sheila Smith and husband, Jack, and Vicky Huber, all of Natchez; two sons, Jimmy Huber and wife, Cathey, of Gladewater, Texas, and Russell Huber Jr. and wife, Susie, of LaPlace, La.; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Christian Murray, Darian Smith, Terry Arnold, Chandler Arnold, Duce Huber and Rusty Huber.
