Reward offered for suspect

FERRIDAY — The Ferriday Police Department is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of Michael Haley Jr., Police Chief Kenneth Hedrick said.
Haley, 20, 808 Alabama Ave., is wanted for attempted first-degree murder, and is considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect allegedly broke away from an officer was attempting to arrest him for flashing a gun.
As he fled the officer, Haley allegedly fired several shots at the patrolman.
The incident occurred in the Eighth Street area.
Haley is described as being five-foot-four-inches tall and weighing 135 pounds.
No one was injured in the incident.
In addition to the attempted murder warrant, Haley is wanted on charges of resisting an officer by flight and illegal use of weapons in connection with the incident.
