Bond rating credit goes to everyone

I want to thank you for the editorial concerning the Natchez Water Works recent bond rating upgrade. I appreciate The Natchez Democrat recognizing the value of this achievement as well as the recognition of our water works team.
We have an amazing staff who each work daily to provide a multitude of services ranging from the treatment of 5 million gallons of water and waste water per day, the maintenance of over 260 miles of pipe, and servicing 7,400 active accounts.
Of course, this all could not have been possible without the leadership and guidance of the Board of Water Commissioners.
It all starts and ends with this group of leaders composed of our chairman Mr. Francis Ransom, Mr. John Ray, Mrs. Pam Murphy, Mrs. Delores Vines and Mr. Ken Whittington. The mayor and board of aldermen have done an outstanding job of selecting this group of individuals who each posses high character for integrity and business capacity.
In my opinion, Natchez Water Works has always been regarded as an well run entity. This board influences good control, management and direction for the safe, economical and efficient management and protection of your water department.
