NATCHEZ — Services for Olean Rutland Rabb, 78, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 29, 2009, at her residence will be 2 p.m. today from Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Spencer officiating.
Burial will follow with graveside services at 5 p.m. from Topeka-Tilton Cemetery, in Lawrence County, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. today until time of services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rabb was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Martin Ira and Vera Elsie Lambert King. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Mississippi Bowling Association.
Mrs. Rabb was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Carlos Rabb; three children, Diane Nations and husband, Jerry, of Natchez, Greg Rutland and wife, Trudie, of Salene, Mo., and Peggy Jones and husband, Wayne, of Hartselle, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Melisa Inman, Jerry Wayne Nations, Michelle Nations, Megan Hope Nations, Jaclyn Rutland, Sheryl Sharp, Stacy Chesser and Kimberly Vernetti; 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Inell Gunnell of Natchez, Altean Tanksley of Monticello and Doris Faye Smith of Brookhaven; three brothers, Barney King, Holton King and Pat King, all of Monticello; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cody Floyd, Jerry Wayne Nations, Roy Vines, Markham Sharp, Colton Weathersby and Jack Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dusty Floyd, Austin Wiggins, Hunter Nations and Kaige Inman.
