More killing isn’t answer to abortion

As pro-life advocates I, along with Virginia O’Beirne, wish to set the record straight.
While we strongly oppose the position of those who endorse abortion, especially abortion on demand, we also vehemently denounce violence of any sort against those who disagree with us. The recent misguided act of one unbalanced radical person which resulted in the death of Dr. George Tiller, late-term abortion provider, is counter-productive to the aims of those of us who believe in civility and peaceful activism to promote a culture of life.
It would be profoundly dishonest and unfair for abortion supporters to demonize the entire pro-life movement because of the wrong action of this one person.
We in Pro-Life Natchez Adams County believe that education to raise awareness of the value of every life from conception to natural death, along with the promotion of pro-life legislation to protect the welfare of the most vulnerable among us are the appropriate methods to peacefully advance respect for the sanctity of human life.
