NATCHEZ — Services for Mary M. Fleming, 78, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 15, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Fleming was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Adams County, the daughter of Eugene Washington Sr. and Florida Smith Washington. She was a homemaker and a member of Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 2.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Fleming Sr.; two brothers, Jessie Washington and Charles Washington; and one sister, Erma Jean Washington.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Fleming Dunmore of Natchez and the Rev. Vivian Barnes and husband, Roderick, of Woodville; one son, Clarence Fleming Jr. of Natchez; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one special grandson, Rodriquez Johnson of Jackson; four sisters, Lucille Murphy and husband, Willie, of Michigan, Bertha Washington of Houston, Texas, Ollie Knight and Flora Dee Washington, both of New Orleans; four brothers, Matthew Washington, Eugene Washington and wife, Mary, the Rev. James Washington and wife, Virginia, all of Natchez, and Booker T. Washington of New Orleans; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
