NATCHEZ — It may have been the heat that motivated thieves to steal an air-conditioning unit earlier this month, and now two suspects are sitting in the air-conditioning — in jail.
Willie Earl Coleman, 26, 25 Elm St., and Ernest Tyms, 46, 111 Hictober St., were booked by the Natchez Police Friday on charges of burglary of a dwelling.
The two allegedly stole an air-conditioning unit on Elm Street, but an eyewitness later identified Coleman as one of the suspects, Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said.
After police picked Coleman up on other warrants, he was able to identify Tyms as the other suspect, Godbold said.
Both men were detained without bond Saturday.
