VIDALIA — The statewide burn ban in Louisiana will be lifted at 2 p.m. today.

The ban was put in place June 24 due to dry conditions statewide.

With the lifting of the ban, the state fire marshal continues to urge residents to check with local parish officials before burning debris or other material.
