Co-Lin construction approved

NATCHEZ — In a quick meeting, the Natchez Planning Commission approved the site plan for Co-Lin Natchez’s new health sciences building.
City Planner John “Rusty” Lewis said a few things have been hammered out between Co-Lin officials and city departments about landscaping and electrical wiring.
And currently, all requirements have been met.
The vote was unanimous to approve the 22,000 square foot building, which is expected to open in early 2011.
The new building will be at the intersection of Campus Drive and Co-Lin Circle, and will house the respiratory care program, the licensed practical nursing program, the biology laboratory, the computer laboratory and other general use
The project will be paid through bonds and county millage.
Ground breaking for the project is slated for the fall.
