MONROE — Services for Alma Bee “Mua” Bailey, 72, of Bude, who died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Bethel Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Wake services will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at New Fork United Methodist Church in Meadville.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at New Bethel.
Mrs. Bailey was born June 21, 1937, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Willie and Flora Sanxton.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alonzo Bee Jr., and John L. Bailey; her parents; one son, Robert Lee Bee; and one sister, Anna Louise Green.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean Kelly and husband, Jimmie, of Bude; three sons, Charles Sanxton of Fayette, Carl Ray Bee of Los Angeles and Anthony Tyrone Bee and wife, Felecia, of Bude; five sisters, Jean Frye and husband, Nate, Willie Mae Whitcher and Katherine Taylor, all of Jackson, Margaret Gray and Louvernia James, both of Fayette; four brothers, Joe Sanxton and wife, Grace, of Meadville, Johnny Sanxton and wife, Rea, and Robert Sanxton, all of Fayette, and Franklin Sanxton and wife, Mary, of New Orleans; six stepdaughters; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two godchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
