FERRIDAY — Services for Clarence Hankston, 54, of Ferriday, who died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Rapides General Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Hankston was born May 31, 1955, in Natchez, the son of Charlie and Ernestine Johnson Hankston.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include six sons, Rashon Ellis, Charay Anderson, Derrick Lewis and Reginald Lewis, all of Ferriday, Torialle Hankston and Kevin Hudnall, both of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Charles Johnson of Muskegon, Mich., Jeffery Willis of Houston, Texas and Gary Willis of Bude; three sisters, Betty Wade of Grand Rapids, Mich., Janet Willis of Ferriday and Catherine Hatten of Jonesville; two uncles, Willie Wheeler and J.V. Wheeler, both of New Orleans; and 21 grandchildren.
